Paradise

Chapter  16      Paradise

The villa was enormous. The four seasons most expensive, luxurious and secluded accommodation. The huge free-standing, thatched-roof pavilions were above a tree-lined beach surrounded by majestic views of the sparkling Indian Ocean and an expansive garden that stretched as far as there was land. Thick green vines that twisted carelessly against the walls, trees and fences housed bushels of red, pink, yellow, purple and orange flowers. The trunks of the full trees were bent in awkward formations, as if they were dancing and got stuck in one of their complex moves. The personal courtyard and private pool had a stunning panoramic view of the Jimbaran Bay. Nicki took in this unmatched wonderland in awe before forcing her attention on Safaree who had been gesturing her inside for more than ten minutes. The inside was like nothing either of them had ever seen before.  Authentic Balinese décor painted the house featuring handcrafted teak furniture, priceless antique artifacts and exotic fabrics. Before they could get through the door a compilation of festive instruments brought their gazes to the welcoming parade. The smiling tanned faces of the locals came into view as they marched up the stone path. Leading the parade was a well fed man wielding a five foot handcrafted cane, followed by six dressed up women carrying baskets of food on their heads and behind them was the lively four man band.

“Selamat Siang Mr. Samuels.” Bagus, the plump man greeted SB.

“Good afternoon sir.” Safaree returned the civilized greeting. Feeling a little cocky for knowing what the man said in his foreign language.

“We have the food you’ve requested. And the uh…” He shot a look at Nicki and playfully nudged Safaree with the tip of his cane, winking. “The other thing you requested.”

The band continued to play as they made their way back down the stone path and finally disappeared behind the royal villas high front gate. “We will just put your things inside and get out of your hair. When their guests were gone the bedroom was the first place to be explored.

“So where are my clothes?” Nicki wondered opening the tall glass doors leading to the private pool and Jacuzzi.  A cool breeze filled the room fluttering the linens hanging from the canopy of the king bed. The moon was crawling to the highest point in the sky.

“You’re what?” SB asked, distracted. He was trying to predict which bed, pool, couch or Jacuzzi would get the most attention during their stay. Also whether or not she’d like the feast he was planning to cook up.

“My clothes, you told me not to pack any cuz you had it covered. Where are they? I wanna wash my ass and I need clean shit to put on. Hello.” SB casually waltzed over to Nicki lifting her t-shirt over her head, unhooking her bra and tossing it across the room, followed by her shoes, leggings and panties.

“There you go.”  He returned to tend to the two medium sized suitcases.

“Are you serious?”

“Yeah, who needs clothes?”

“Umm I do. What if someone comes by?”

“No one’s coming by unless we call them to come by. Relax.” The suitcases were open now. He held up several bikini and lingerie sets. “I mean you got this stuff.”

“I should’ve known not to let a fool pack my shit.”

“Just go wash your ass.” He knew she’d come around to the naked policy eventually.  “If you come out of there with clothes on I’m kicking you out.” He called as she disappeared through the bathroom door. Phase two of day one was initiated. A hard knock at the front door echoed through spacious rooms. Safaree’s dream team couldn’t have picked a better time to show up. The house make over was in full effect. Resort employees hurriedly placed decorative candelabras on every stable surface inside and out, topping them with flickering scented candles. Half of the crew scurried around the kitchen starting the dinner SB was supposed to be preparing. Meanwhile he was monitoring the bathroom so he could shoo the help away before she came out and take all the credit. When the sound of the shower water stopped pounding against the tile the real chaos began. Ten panicked crew members flew through house finished last touches and was out the door in minutes. SB stripped down to his boxers and went back to the kitchen to monitor the food.

“What has gotten into you lately?” Nic wondered strolling into the huge made up room, wearing one of the lingerie sets, a black corseted number.

“What you mean?”

“The cooking, candles, flowers, the vacation.”

“Well I love you, so…” His tone was casual as he made their plates.
Her lips edged into a slow smile. “I feel it.”

“Good. Here taste this.” He dipped a finger in the soup like broth. His skin vibrated when it came in contact with her tongue.

“Mmm.. you made that?”

“There’s no one else here is there?”

“Aww look at you learning how to cook.” She flicked his ear. Dinner was nice. Quiet. Intimate.

Nicki’s light snores played through the air. Safaree wasn’t pleased with her falling asleep on the first night. There was supposed to be less sleeping more doing, but there she was passed out in his arms. An hour went by. Then another. And another. The wait for her to wake the hell up was unbearable, something needed to be done. An “accidental” nudge to the arm interrupted her nap.

“How long have I been sleep?”  She asked yawning.

“A long ass time.” And she still would be if he hadn’t bumped her.

“Hmm. My breath stink?” She blew a whirlwind into his face.

“I mean…It don’t smell good.”

“Whatever gimme kiss.” She puckered her lips.

“No.”

“Excuse me?”

“Nope. You don’t get one.”

“Why? What I do?”

“You fell asleep on me. I been sittin up by myself for 3 hours.”

“Well I was tired. I’m sorry ok?”

“Nah that ain’t cuttin it this time. We on vacation, we not supposed to be layin around.”

“Wow you damn crybaby. Gimme a fuckin kiss!”

“No, you gotta earn it.”

Without saying another word she was out of the bed fumbling through the dark moon lit room relighting each burned out candle one by one and flicking on the resorts complimentary ipod. A fast paced Indonesian instrumental spewed through the bose speakers. She knew what game he was playing and decided to play along. He wanted her to earn the kiss? Then earn it she would.  Pinpricks of candlelight and moonlight ricocheted off the large glass candelabra on the dresser, illuminating everything inside the darkened room in slow sweeping diamond- shaped beams. Light streams of smoke from the army of candles billowed through the room. Hazy. Dreamlike. In the bathroom a costume change was underway. The black panty that went with the corset was replaced by a black skirt that was lace on the sides and barely came to the middle of her thigh and a tiny electric blue thong. The game was on. Nicki did her sexy strut back into the room. Safaree’s body was immediately alert when the object of fascination came into view, heated breath caught in his lungs, and he shivered. His gaze swept over her, paralyzing him in renewed amazement. Simply looking at her and imagining her scent wafting to his nose, he had to rub his arms to rid the goose bumps.

“Come here.” Nicki commanded. He jumped up nearly falling off the bed and got to her in record time. Slowly her hips swayed seeming to be amplified in slow motion. She ground her left hipbone against the hard juncture between his legs. Her corset was held together by nothing more than thin ribbons and her skirt hung so low on her waist that it failed to cover the bands of her thong. His mouth watered for a taste and his skin prickled with white-hot awareness, desperate for more. The delicious shivers refused to go away. Her unhurried movements were completely at odds with the fast pounding drums that played from the other room, but she never ceased the slow gyrations of her body as she raised her hands over her head then leisurely ran them through the thick mass of her black hair, down her arms, stroking her own skin but waiting for his hands to replace hers. He wanted in on the action and urgently rediscovered her curves while she brushed her plump backside between his legs. Another of those shivers raked his spine, vibrating into his limbs. The heat of him nearly liquefied her bones and the erratic pulse of the music matched the erratic beat of her heart. Spinning to face him she ran her tongue over her teeth, forcing his gaze to her lips, his pupils dilated.

“I’ll take that kiss now.” Her voice was tiny whisper. He jerked her deeper into the curve of his body. Their shallow breaths were nearly louder than the music. “Actually, I insist on a kiss.”

The custom wood king bed was no match for the love that was about to be made. The melody played by the light rain outside added to the night’s playlist.

Sweet Surrender

Chapter 15      Sweet Surrender

Through the clouds they flew in a private jet, Indonesia bound. Red, yellow, and orange stained the setting sky; a peaceful environment to help them survive the 9 Hours and 35 Min that remained. Across from each other in two large plush beige chairs they sat, simply staring at one another. On the opposite wall constant infomercial blabbering spewed from the tv. The plane was a luxury, though it couldn’t compare to the destination that waited. Gold panels accentuated the white walls. Mirrored doors and separators reflected beams of light from the ceiling fixtures. The thick carpet was also gold mimicking the wall panels. Beige and dark brown throw pillows were placed precisely on every other couch or chair; and a cluster of them on the full size bed hidden behind the separator. Flicking off the annoying tv chatter SB toyed with something behind his back, never taking his eyes off Nicki.

“Why you over there?”

“Oh, you want me over there?” Nic closed the space between them, adjusting herself comfortably on Safaree’s lap.

“So Bali huh? What’s there?” She wondered. Which resort would they be gracing.

“Don’t worry about it. I’m not sayin nothin. You’ll see when we get there.”

“Why it gotta be a surprise? Tell me and I’ll act surprised. Promise”

“No. You gon be surprised. Now hush.”

“Fine, be that way”

“You better act right, or you won’t get what Santa got in his pocket “

“Psh. I already had what Santa got in his pocket”

“Get ya mind out the gutter. I meant this.” He pulled a medium sized pink valor box from behind him. Nicki’s gazed locked on it. For a moment she hoped that he had her missing ring but the box was a little too big to be housing a ring. Slowly she opened the box revealing an 18K white gold and diamond dog tag. Engraved on both sides was the unseen cover art of her sophomore album.

“Oh. My. God. Thank you!”

For her to like it was all he wanted, but the excitement and appreciation she exuded meant everything. A huge smile broke across his face. She was happy, so he was happy. Her squeals seemed to echo as he placed the chain rightfully around her neck. The clear diamonds ricocheted light crystals as far as the light could reach.

“This is already the best vacation ever. Like seriously? This is so dope.”

“That’s cuz you don’t know what’s to come.”  He kissed her collar bone. “You’ll find out soon enough.”

“We have like 7, 8 hours left. Soon enough isn’t soon enough.”

“Alright, c’mon cranky.” Readjusting Nicki on his lap into a cradle position, he rubbed her back. It was expected of her to be bored and sleepy after so much idle time, but he on the other hand was too entranced in his well thought out plan to sleep.

“Why you got me layin here like some damn baby” It wasn’t a question.

“Just go to sleep, you know you want to. Keep bein smart and imma start singin.”

“No thanks.” But lying against his warm body and listening to his softened voice made fighting sleep hard. And after he lowered the lights with the remote system, she was out like a light.

While she slept SB just sat awake; listening to her breathing, while she was far away dreaming. He could stay in that moment forever, every moment with his one and only was one he’d cherish forever. Laying so close he could feel her heart beat as it accelerated and steadied over and over; wondering if he was what she was seeing.

She slept for most of the ride, spending the last two and a half hours showering Safaree with kisses, and battling it out in an angry birds competition. Finally landing she wasn’t allowed to see much; blackness took place of her vision behind a makeshift blindfold. The car ride was only 20 mins. Keeping Nicki occupied wasn’t hard; throwing false clues about where they were staying was enough.

“We here!” His high pitched, enthusiastic tone was embarrassing.

“Finally. Now take this thing off”

“No. Don’t touch it. Not yet.” SB had the driver keep a watchful eye on Nicki, making sure her hands went nowhere near the scarf shielding her eyes.

“Aight no peeking.” He demanded scooping her from the truck. In Safaree’s arms she tried to picture the scenery from the sound of the birds, water, and wind chimes. But the universal sounds were no help, nor were the mixtures of scents. Her stomach tightened with anticipation and impatience once he came to a stop.

“Now can I take it off?”

“Hold on.” Supporting her with one arm SB unlocked the door to their secluded paradise.

“We have arrived.”

A koolaid man smile took over her face as he removed her blindfold…

Smash Into You

Chapter  14      Smash Into You

The night was gone and the sun had taken its rightful place in the morning sky. Every room was dark, as the blackout shades did their job. A mild illumination flickered in the living room at the base of the fire place. Under a crocheted blanket Nicki was huddled against Safaree’s chest. The heat from the flame raged, a thin layer of sweat slicked their skin. The streets outside were silent as were the halls inside. For the time being it was as if no one else was on the same planet. It was nice and quiet, no one to interrupt. For hours upon hours they shared the most comfortable of silences; their hands in a tight embrace under the blanket. Every once in a while he’d kiss her temple, forehead or nose.

It was later than he’d expected and there was much to be done before 8. It was time to set his plan into motion; a plan that was thought up during his lonely stupor. Reluctantly SB slid from underneath Nicki’s weight cooling off immediately now that his skin was free from the toasty cocoon.

“I got something for you” SB announced picking through the wicker basket on the side of the couch; finally pulling out a pair of Halloween mouse ears and a red envelope. “Here put these on.”

“What the…” She started but stopped. An idea of roll playing spurred and was very tasteful. Carefully she placed the headband behind her bangs and proceeded to wait for what was next. SB handed her the envelope, it was closed with a green smiley face sticker that threw off the elegance of the swirl designs on it.

“Really?” She laughed, slowly peeling the sticker off before sticking it to his shirt. Inside was a Bali, Indonesia brochure. First confusion…then understanding…then excitement. “Are we going here?”

“Maybe, I’m not really sure. If you can have a bag packed in the next 4 hours”

“WHAT? 4 hours? Are you stupid?”

“Just don’t worry about clothes, I got that covered.” A sly grin broke across his face. “Worry about all the other girl stuff.”

She cut her eyes suspiciously staring him down.

“Obey me dammit! And let daddy handle his business.” The simple fact that he now knew his secret nickname made her blush. He would never let her live it down. She needed to change the subject before her cheeks flushed red again.

“Wait, what the hell do the ears have to do with this?”
The grin was back. He reached back into the basket and pulled out a jar of peanut butter and a medium sized butterfly net.

“See there’s this mouse that keeps getting into my food and tonight that ass is mine.”
Before he could finish Nicki was off the couch searching for a hiding place within one of the dark rooms.

“You’ll have to find me first. Catch me if you can.” She knelt in the unused and rarely visited closet near the balcony doors, way at the back of the house.

“59…60.” Her minute to hide was up and now it was time to play. SB gripped the net in both hands and began his search. Nicki couldn’t help but giggle as Safaree checked everywhere but the closet she was in, running past it twice to explore the den. But finally after several attempts he closed in on the closet door jerking it open. In the near pitch blackness he couldn’t see the floor of the tiny room. Utilizing his blindness Nicki crawled very slowly out the door, past his legs attempting to make a stealthy getaway; staying low until reaching the end of the hall where she jumped to her feet and scurried into more blackness. Blindly she ran as he chased, running into tables, walls, chairs and plants. What seemed like an endless pursuit ended when the “mouse” fell into a fort of pillows stacked on the kitchen floor and the “hunter” was there waiting. She was on her back pinned by her captor. Dipping his hands into the jar he rubbed peanut butter all over the palms of his hands. Nicki took a hunk into her hands smearing it over her lips, chin and neck, sucking the rest off of each finger. With hands of peanut butter Safaree claimed her body as his own, smudging the cream over her skin and clothes before licking the soft peanut spread from under her jaw. Hands gripping the back of his shirt she urged him on, feeling him between her legs. Rolling over on the sticky pillows Nicki adjusted herself on top, pulling the grey cami over her head. Sliding up his body until their lips met, fighting against one another.
Rudely a heavy vibration shook SB’s pocket followed by a nonchalant voice; one that was impossible to ignore. All movement seized, startled and annoyed he yanked the disrespectful device from his back pocket. Siri was informing him as requested that there was only two hours left before he needed to be at the airport.

“Oh shit Nic” His response was slow as he was trying to recover from catching a mouse.

“What?” Her panting and erratic heartbeat slowed.

“We gotta go.”

“I thought you were joking”

“I said 4 hours didn’t I?” He hurried, collecting sticky pillows from the floor.

“Well if that was the case you shouldn’t have started nothing.  I should take forever and make us miss it.” She walked dragging her feet across the hardwood.

“Then I woulda bought that brochure for nothin, I’d kick you.”

“You’re a moron.” She added before vanishing into the bedroom.

Sidenote: don’t forget about the ring ;)
